Two well known Bristol artists will be exhibiting here for the New Year. Sally Coulden is showing her colourful abstracts in the main bar while popular Room 212 artist Laura Robertson is exhibiting in the Downstairs Gallery.
Having grown up in the wilds of North Norfolk, Sally Coulden was surrounded by seasonally changing landscapes, expansive coastlines and infinite horizons. These have embedded a deep-seated need for a sense of space and infinity in life and work. Sally paints abstract landscapes and colour is an important element in the work. Her paintings are held in collections in Australia, Europe and the UK. Sally is also the Founder and Director Red Dog Glass Design which creates original limited edition glass panel designs straight from the easel.
Laura Robertson is a Bristol based artist known for her quirky prints and paintings. Her work is figurative and quirky with a touch of humour. As our Downstairs Gallery hosts a range of dance and music activities her Tango Tigers and Dancing Women fit in well.
Join both artists at a friendly, informal launch on Friday January 10th from 7pm. Here are the Facebook details
